Yesterday my host family and I went to a house by the lake I swam in on New Year's Eve to watch a friend's dance performance. After we were supposed to go out for dinner to celebrate my upcoming birthday. When I entered the house I didn't pay much attention to the location or the surroundings. Although I did find it a bit strange that there were no other people to see. Regardless of the silence, I assumed that the dance show had already started. When I opened the door I saw balloons on the floor. Yet I didn't understand what was going on, until I took a step forward and faced all my friends shouting: SURPRISE!
I've never been so surprised (or overwhelmed). THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! (Again)
I had a blast (even though Lisa made me sing a Norwegian song while wearing a hula skirt, bathing suit, jester glasses, a feather skarf and a tiara) and appreciate every single one of you. It's amazing how attached you feel to people after just a couple of months. I am very lucky to have such a good group of friends. I am also very happy that I can share this out-of-this-world experience with so mangey great people. I will post more pictures as soon as I get them. I didn't bring my own camera and was to busy having fun to take any pictures myself.
International love.
